Birding in NSW, Australia, Sept 2025

Jane & I spent two weeks during September over in NSW, visiting family and friends, and getting some birding in, wherever we could. I don't believe it was as "birdy" as when I've been there at other times of the year, like in March. I enjoyed what was found around Lake Cargelligo, around Wagga Wagga, and around Leeton and Griffith, all inland NSW locations. I visited some beautiful wetlands where some several species of crakes can be seen. A target bird was fairy wrens, and I managed to get pictures of two species. All in all, Aussie is a great place for birds, due to the great number they have in comparison to us.
